Technical Directions
Accessing the PDP website
Login using your Bournemouth University username and password.
Remember to type bournemouth\ before your userID, ie:
Username: Bournemouth\userID
Password: *********
Enter the PDP website in one of the following ways:
1. Enter the following web address http://pdp.bournemouth.ac.uk from an Internet Browser.
We recommend using Internet Explorer.
2. Enter the website from the Student Portal under the Learning and Teaching links> My School> PDP - Personal Development Planning.
3. Follow the link to Personal Development Planning or PDP from your Schools Learning and Teaching website.
Saving documents
It is recommended that all documents are saved to your 'H drive' within the University.
Choose ‘Save as' from the File menu and select ‘H' drive to save the document to. Please note that documents from PDP are word documents, but documents from the CMS are htm documents. You do not have to do anything differently, just give the document a name.
If you wish to save documents at home or off campus, do exactly the same at home but select your 'C' drive. However, we recommend you keep your documents in one central place so you may want to email your documents to your student email account or bring them into the University on a storage device such as floppy disk, USB pen or CD ROM.
Printing
The content of this website has been designed to be printed however it excludes the left hand menu and the top banner.
