Hints on how to get the most from the Reading List
- The List includes books and journals available in the library
and e-resources available from your desktop.
- Clicking on the titles will show you where in the library the
book, journal or video is located. Once you have accessed the
main section for that topic, eg. Stress Management in 158.7, go
and browse the shelves in the library, there may be other publications
that meet your needs but which are not listed.
- There may be additional books within your particular subject
area which offer help with skills relevant to that profession,
eg. teamwork in Nursing or Computing.
- Remember that you may not need a whole book on the subject and
general texts may contain chapters with useful information/exercises.
Examples will include books on general Management, and books on
Organisational Behaviour. Do not overlook books on study skills
and how to be an effective student.
- The Reading List includes additional useful website links
- If you find other sources which you think would be useful to
other students, please use the suggestion
box facility.
